MEET THE TEAM
Paul Powers
-President-
Paul began working full-time in the 1970s after graduating from the University of Maine, Orono with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Paul was a large part of switching the roof assemblies from asphalt to single ply membrane systems in northern Maine. He continues to effectively run the business, staying on top of changing economic structures throughout northern Maine, while helping businesses plan and budget for their roofing needs. He is an active member of the community, including the Caribou Rotary Club, and has served on several local nonprofit boards. Paul is currently a member of the Katahdin Trust Co. Board of Directors. When Paul isn’t too busy working, he enjoys puttering around at the lake fixing and remodeling his camp.
John Powers
-Vice President-
As Vice President his role on the job site has helped the company consistently complete projects on time and on budget. Not to mention his un-matched commitment to managing the crews and overseeing all the equipment as it is moved from job to job. John was an active member of local snowmobile clubs, where he used his collaborative efforts to streamline four separate clubs into one. Today, John is a leader for the local Boy Scouts and spends countless hours volunteering and helping with the organization’s projects. In his spare time, John enjoys hunting or fishing.
Brian Powers
-Project Manger-
Brian joined Powers Roofing and Sheet Metal full-time after graduating from the University of Maine, Orono with degrees in Engineering Technology in 2006 and Construction Management in 2008. As project manager and estimator, Brian works alongside his brothers looking ahead and planning their next project and juggling the ever changing schedules. Brian’s commitment to the company extends to the roof as well, managing additional crews when multiple projects are under construction. In his free time, Brian enjoys spending time with his family and four children.
Justin Powers
-Project Manager-
Before joining the family business full-time in 2010, Justin earned his master’s degree in architecture from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston. After graduation, he worked as a project manager for a roofing company in the Boston area. As project manager and estimator, Justin is continually bidding on projects for the upcoming season. He also works with building owners and general contractors, keeping them apprised to the progress of their project. Justin also knows that a strong work ethic is necessary for a successful business and helps on the roof whenever and where ever it is needed. For fun, Justin enjoys spending time with his family, being at the lake and driving out in the woods.
Jordan Powers
-Project Manager-
Jordan Powers earned his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology at the University of Maine at Orono. After graduation he accepted a job in Connecticut at Zachry Nuclear Engineering as an Instrument and Controls Engineer. Jordan worked there for 3 years before deciding to rejoin the family roofing business. Jordan has been working full time at Powers Roofing since 2015. He has taken on a role in the field co-managing projects, operating telehandlers, relocating equipment with his Class A license, and working in the office when needed or time allows for it. For fun, Jordan enjoys alpine skiing, biking, and spending time outdoors.
